gingergrant - grant management

Our grant management system is modern, intuitive, and fits in with the way you administer grants.

    Fund Match

    The fund match website ensures that you only receive applications from people who you may be able to help. It saves them time, and it saves you time - no more checking their elegibility manually.

    Key features:

  • Web site to allow people to see if they may be eligible for your funding
  • Capture their information securely
  • Currently 26 match variables (gender, place of study, funding required, home postcode, etc)
  • Summary list of trust funds to which they may be able to apply
  • Automatic population of funding application forms
  • Optional online statistical analysis suite to understand information about fund searchers

  • Online applications

    Online applications allow people to apply to your funds online, saving you significant time. Not only can people only apply if you have funds that may be able to help them, there's also a significant reduction in paperwork, and no duplication of effort.

    Key features:

  • Secure web site to allow people to apply to your funds online
  • Potential applications are added to the gingergrant grants management system automatically, awaiting review and assignment to a funding meeting
  • The application decision process and grants awarding is then managed as normal in gingergrant

    Client PC minimum requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
  • Pentium 1.5GHz or higher
  • 1GB RAM
  • 50MB free disk space
  • min 1024x768 screen resolution
  • Clients may be deployed on a Terminal Services or Citrix environment if preferred.

    Database server minimum requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 or higher
  • Dual Pentium 1.5GHz or higher
  • 4GB RAM
  • 50GB disk space for data (minimum)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008
  • /2008R2/2012

    Note that database server specification will vary depending on how much data you have and how many users are connected. NFPs usually receive heavily discounted server licensing from Microsoft.

    Web server minimum requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 or higher
  • Dual Pentium 1.5GHz or higher
  • 2GB RAM
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7 or higher
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
  • or higher

    Note that web server specification will vary depending on volume of fund matching and online applications.


    What we use to develop:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2012
  • C# and VB.NET development languages
  • ASP.NET on IIS for web development
  • Team Foundation Server for source code control
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 and 2012 SQL for data access
  • Microsoft Excel 2010 or (ideally) 2013 for power pivots
